Dr. Prakash R Paliwal graduated from Vadodara (India) in 2003. He attained membership of royal college of physicians (UK) in 2009. He joined Advanced Specialist Training in NUH Singapore in Neurology in 2010 and successfully completed training in 2013. In the same year he was awarded young Researcher award from Department of Medicine in NUH. He has been Fellow of Academy of Medicine Singapore and also became Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh). He has American Society of Neuroimaging certification for Neurosonology (Trans Cranial Doppler and Extra Cranial Doppler) and also have ASEPA certification for EEG. He was awarded RPNI (Registered Physician for Neurovascular Imaging) by American Society of Neuroimaging. Last he worked as Senior Consultant in Division of Neurology in NUH Singapore before deciding to move to establish his own practice.
During his tenure in NUH Singapore he has acquired vast experience in treating Neurological Disorders. He has special interest in treating Stroke during Hyperacute Phase and Prevention of stroke. He was actively involved in formulating and revising protocol for Hyperacute Stroke care at NUH Singapore. For his work in quality improvement project "reducing door to needle time "he was awarded as a part of the team "Mochtar Riady-Pinnacle Team Award" in 2018. He was also covering Parkinson's clinic at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital Singapore and was actively involved in treatment of Parkinsonism patients. He has keen interest in treating other Neurological Disorders including Headache, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Nerve and Muscle Disorders, Neuroinfectious and Neuroinflammatory Disorder.
He has been closely involved in education of medical students, residents and senior residents of Neurology. He has been involved in examination of medical students in past and also have participated as an examiner regularly for Neurology training in their In-Training Assessments. He was lead educator for Neurology Trainees for Hyperacute Stroke care simulation training at NUH Singapore. He has participated as speaker and trainer for various symposiums conducted for various international Neurology delegates for stroke care.
Hobbies: He has keen interest in playing and watching cricket. He is also an avid traveler. He is passionate about his math skills. He loves to spend time with his 2 daughters and family.

Dr. Prakash has been awarded NUHS - Mochtar Riady Pinnacle Awards- Team Award in 2018 for QI project on "Time is Brain- Endovascular Therapy: Improving Door To Anaesthesia Start Time". This is to improve hyperacute stroke care in NUH for stroke patients. He was closely involved in improving hyperacute stroke care for patients in NUH, developing and implementing protocol changes and improving treatment time. In addition to this he was part of many other quality improvement projects for stroke care
Dr. Prakash was awarded The "University Medical Cluster Outstanding Young Investigator (Registrar) Award" in May 2013 from National University Hospital.
Dr. Prakash has participated as Clinician Lead for development and implementation of VDO (Value Driven Outcome) project for "Monitoring cost and clinical Indicator for stroke" in NUH. He was driven by intention to provide high value care for stroke patients with keeping cost of treatment down.
Dr. Prakash also participated as member of core group under Ministry of Health for implementation of "Value Driven Care" programme for ischemic stroke. He was also given task of spreading work to other public health care hospitals and raising awareness related to "Value driven Care" by Singapore Stroke Initiative.
Dr. Prakash has participated as an international faculty in Neurosonocon 2016 and 2017 in India. It was related to vascular Ultrasound for neurology. He has also participated as speaker to many other international conferences, symposiums and training activities related to neurologist.
Dr. Prakash was selected and has participated in 6th "Japan Medical Innovation Program" which was open to candidates from 11 countries and conducted by Kyushu university in November 2017.
